I am NOT an expert of social media.
Don't get me wrong, I love the idea of it. I enjoy making new connections and meeting new people, and I love photography, so you would think the two would go hand in hand. Unfortunately for me, I am an introvert.
Hello! My name is Caprina and I'm the Owner/Operator/Photographer extraordinaire of this website. It has taken me almost 13 years to finally start a blog. I've always known I should have started one eons ago for my business, but I am not a wordsmith--in fact, I often stumble upon my own words and they never come out just how I intend them to. I still try though, and often, it gets me into trouble.
I have been mostly a photographer here in North Bay since I started photography however, in 2018 I took a leap of faith and moved out of the city for the first time in my life and into the GTA.
That was extremely scary and exhilarating for me because I was able to stretch out and learn a lot about myself.
I learned how resilient, flexible, patient, and courageous I can be. My experience down south was cut short when Covid hit-- and I moved back to my hometown North Bay in the summer of 2020. At first, I was a little lost when I got back because I had been gone for 2 years and most of my clientele had found new photographers to work with. I also moved into a smaller apartment, which I tried at first to turn into a studio space, but eventually, during the winter I realized it was just too difficult to keep my home neutral enough for clients to come in, while also staying true to myself and really creating a space of my own.
So now, I've turned my focus on simplifying my business into three categories (Lifestyle, Boudoir, and Wedding) and ensuring that everything for my business in social media is as clear, concise, and uncomplicated as possible.
I work every day to be a little bit better than I was yesterday and to make the photography experience as wonderful for you as it is for me.
Anyway, if you got this far down, thank you for reading! Definitely check out my other entries as I'll be getting more in-depth about different topics like client resources, recent sessions, and tips & tricks!
